Your first years don’t have to be your hardest. Let’s make them your best.
PD: Thriving in Your First Years
Service Description
The first years of teaching are often the most challenging. Many new teachers struggle with classroom management, heavy marking loads, parent communication, and maintaining a healthy work–life balance. Without the right support, these challenges can lead to stress, burnout, and even leaving the profession early. This full-day interactive workshop is designed to change that. Delivered by an experienced NSW teacher with leadership and pastoral care expertise, the workshop provides practical, ready-to-use strategies to help early-career teachers not just survive, but thrive. Key Focus Areas: - Navigating Parent Conversations – Build confidence in handling difficult discussions and strengthen school–home partnerships. - Student Behaviour Management – Establish effective routines and respond to challenges with clarity and authority. - Effective Classroom Strategies – Engage students through structured, practical approaches that work. - Time & Workload Management – Streamline planning and marking to reclaim hours each week. - Work–Life Balance – Create sustainable routines to protect wellbeing and prevent burnout. By the end of the day, participants leave with confidence, practical strategies, and a clear plan to make their teaching journey more effective, balanced, and rewarding. NESA Recognised Provider
